  1. Lazymouse and advanced Brush settings

    A Feautre like Lazymouse would be helpful, with it it would be nice to see more brush options like straight lines, dotted lines etc.

  2. selection copy/paste/move/rotate/scale

    basically the selection and transform capabilities of photoshop - select an area, cut or copy, paste into same or different layer, use transform gizmo to adjust in either 2d or 3d, release selection.

    working with many layers to achieve this is unwieldy.

  3. Gradient tool

    It`ll be nice to have a tool to add gradient (ex: black to white from bottom to top of the model), ideally linear and radial ones.

  4. View wireframe in Paint Mode

    Currently it seems the wireframe can only be viewed in Geometry Decal mode. It would be very useful for hand-painting textures to be able to have it active in Paint Mode as well, so that the underlying geometry is easier to follow.

  5. Viewport Texture Set Selection

    Instead of having to select Texture Sets manually in the texture set window it would be more intuitive to be able to Example. 'Hotkey' + Left Click on the geometry you want to paint and have Substance Painter automatically switch to the applicable texture set. Similar to Subtool switching in Zbrush by alt + left clicking on your geometry.

  7. Ability to change the organization of Shelf sub-windows

    It would be nice if we could rearrange the Shelf sub-windows like regular windows, or toggle between horizontal and vertical orientation.

  8. Mesh Picker like Material Picker

    I typically paint a project with up to 50 meshes. The ability to have a mesh selector like material eye-dropper would be awesome. Click the mesh selector button and whatever mesh you click on next becomes active.

  9. Ability to see transparency in the viewport

    When painting opacity mask, it would be useful to see the transparency in the viewport.
    Must have to paint hair, torn cloth, etc

  10. Directional light and shadow support

    Image based lighting is great, but it lacks a main directional light casting high quality shadows. It would help a lot in model showcasing.

  11. Add mask by an existing layer

    It will be nice to allow an existing layer to be turn into a mask that can be use on other layers.

  12. 6-8 channels in one Shader

    Base Color, Height, Roughness, Metallic, Specular, Glossiness, Reflection, Displacement (maybe as bump) all these things in one shader.

    These things are very important in the production.
    additionally, it would still be nice if you could see displacement. I know Displacement goes heavy on the graphics card, but even as a bump map to see it, would be great. You can combine it with the height, but the possibility to have displacement would be great.

  13. Organise Shelf

    I don't know if this in already planned, but when I import images, alphas, etc. currently, the images are all over the place. What if during the import process, it will ask us where we want the image to go... would save us a huge headache looking for it.

    This is a MUST HAVE feature for those of us who paint all day without saving sometimes. Hey it happens. I can be away from my computer and something happens while I am gone

  16. Organization: Imported images should not populate so many shelves

    Currently the import of a map will populate many shelves including: decals, materials, alphas, stencils, textures and environment maps. It seems very messy to have this be the default action especially since it seems difficult to remove an image? I would like to see explicit imports of images to specific shelves. Also a remove map function would keep things cleaner.

    note: MARI has a nice feature where images can be dragged in from viewers including web browsers right into the image manager. Very intuitive.

  17. Ability to quickly copy and paste entire layer stacks from one textureset to another

    I find it terribly frustrating not to be able to copy and paste entire layer stacks. and from one textureset to another you can't copy and paste anything atm. It would also be cool to be able to save a layerstack to an external preset file that you could load onto another scene entirely. That way if you have a lot of assets to texture that all share the same materials, you`d have to do one and get the rest pretty far really quickly. Simply open new object, load layer stack, base texturing done. That way you can focus on…

  18. Swap foreground and background color with shortcut

    Simialr to photoshop's X shortcut. This would provide a fast way to swap black and white while painting masks.

  19. 4K monitor support

    Icons and text are just too small to be able to work with SP on a 4K monitor.
