Color Picker with SRGB and Linear color codes
Currently we cant save a color to a palette or copy an SRGB/Linear hex color code to quickly apply exact same colours between programs and layers.
it is completely absurd that we do not know this implemented in substance painter, like the other adobe software.
BUT who uses this color mode in 3d today ?????
A single inconvenient solution is to CREATE A PALETTE with photoshop on an image.
Import that image into Sub Painter, then map it as a texture to any unused layer. From there use the eyedropper on the texture.
the match is not identical but the whole palette will still have the same tone. It's the only one.
THIS IS ABSURD is need much time to do THIS?
there is in photoshop, and in all other software of world!
DO IT please!
Why Allegorithmic decided to code that differently than ANY other 3D or 2D software I used over more than 25 years is a mystery. This "choice" is a pain in the **** and also inconsistent with the usual digital artist behaviour.
Change it already ! to a normal, basic, common, compatible RGB system for god sake.
Registered just for vote this.
RGB(0.5,0.5,0.5)=RGB(188,188,188),it makes all user be confused！
We need RGB(0.5,0.5,0.5)=RGB(128,128,128)！
a very good idea, let´s make it happen :)
I'm really often working in Photoshop and Substance painter. Seeing that Substance already works closer with photoshop than ever before it would be awesome to see the ability to copy a Hex code from photoshop.
Also the 0-1 scale is really annoying seeing as almost all art applications work with a 255 scale. It would be awesome to see a 255 scale implemented.
This idea has been suggested before although has gone unnoticed it seems.

It is literally the single most annoying thing that stops everything in its tracks, for no good reason. Its like taking a drink of water, but having to climb go through a maze, every single time. Ridiculously difficult for the most simple mundane thing. Please, just do the 255 scale. I get that 0-1 seems intuitive...but we have lived a lifetime with it the 255 way. It's just how it is.
Will you, for Heaven sake, implement that feature ? It's practically impossible to exactly match a color the way your color picker works right now. An excellent software ruined by a simple stupid ambition (I don't see any other reason for not implementing the 0-255 RGB color picker).
Absolutely agree, I lost half a day trying to match two colors. Implementing a simple RGB 0-255 color picker shouldn't be so hard, every decent software related to image editing, painting or texturing has this feature. Please do it and make our life easier.
This would be really great to have! Not having to calculate it by hand or using Photoshop is a great time saver.
