For example simple holding shift to blur texture
Agree with Eric H Smudge tool is not working as a good blending brush.

I'm confused by this "completed" marker. Does this mean that they think this has been done? Because as far as I can tell there is only a smudge brush, which is not the same thing. Smudge is messy and does not produce the results I'm able to achieve in all other painting programs.
What a great idea, this the one thing that keeps this from not being like photoshop. If there was a layer type that only kept pixel information instead of brush strokes location, would be amazing. Together with Dodge, Burn, Screen, Multiple, etc per stroke with a drop down menu. Only problem with this, would be if you change the UVs layout or the resolution. This layer could then easily reduce size, but when increased then it would lose pixel density quality. So perhaps to go around that, its to use a smart layer effect, so when ever painting, it paints on a desired size. Hope it makes sense?
This seems like such a no-brainer - some sort of blur is necessary for any serious painting program. Please do consider implementing. Thanks
I hold shift key to rotate and match Blender and UE4 key config.
