  1. Expose parameters on export from Alchemist

    I've found out that there are some default materials in the Alchemist library with some parameters I'd like to expose on export for Substance painter.
    I'd also like to add my own parameters to expose.

  3. Allow the users to paint masks and height

    We already have the ability to paint clone masks, why not use the underlying paint tool to allow us to define regions were we want to layer materials, or bring up the height modulation for better artist control.

  4. Ability to affect characteristics of Base Material maps/channels within the Base Material

    It would be immensely helpful to be able to to modify characteristics of maps within the Base Material. For instance, I'd like to be able to modify the intensity of the Normal as well as have the option to invert it. Same goes for the Height map. I'd also like the option to control the contrast and gamma of the Roughness map. It would also be helpful if there were a Bump map input. Thanks!

  5. Rename and Duplicate Materials

    Let's say that I created a wonderfull material with very specific settings.
    Can I duplicate it in my collection then work on a variation ?
    A renaming possibilty would also be helpfull.

  6. Allow sorting or filtering of Materials within Folders

    Currently Materials are displayed chronologically when viewed in Folders. It would be good to default to alphabetical or allow the user to choose sorting style or filter by tags etc

  7. make all filters full precision

    i'm running into some banding issues feeding 32 bit float inputs with VERY low height intensities into the brick pattern filter. Without the brick filter, there's no banding in the output normal or height, but there is banding once it's turned on, despite the height intensity not changing. It looks like it's not full precision

  9. Support for 8K on export

    Right now we only have option for exporting to max 4K res, possibly due to performance limitations. If that's the case, you can limit to 4k max in viewport, but still have ability to export to 8K max.

  10. Include per layer UV tiling and offset controls - similar to Painter

    It would be nice to have per layer tiling, offset and rotation controls - just like Painter does. Both safe and non as I'm having to include these in my sbs materials for now and it's something I can imagine most people need to do! Thanks!

  11. Ability to change Alchemist save path

    As a Substance Source download path can be changed, It will be great to have the same option for Alchemist files. One reason can be cloud synced folder between two (or more) workstations, so on every workstation I'm able to open and tweak my Alchemist projects.

  12. Export presets to be the same as Substance Painter

    Have the same presets as Substance Painter for exporting a non .sbsar export of textures from Alchemist - e.g. the Unity Engine preset.

    An example of this would be that I chose to make a tiling terrain texture in alchemist and I want to export it to use on the terrain in a game engine - for Unity Game Engine, the Metallic or Albedo map should contain the 'Smoothness' value in their alpha channel.

    In the default exports from Alchemist (I have tried all image formats), the smoothness is missing.

  14. Add Gradient Layer

    It would be useful to have a gradient layer added to alchemist so I don't have to go over to photoshop in order to make a gradient.

  15. Combine maps to channels in export like in painter

    Being able to choose direct support to engine by combing maps to channels, without another program or file type use, like ps, sbsar, painter. Makes the process a little more linear in their work flow.

    its seems Substance Alchemist uses the built-in windows color picker and its really bad and outdated maybe make something like the one in photoshop

  18. AI Res Learning

    it would be great if we can get AI to up rez images that have low imported resolutions into the B2M. Having 1k textures up rez'd to true 4k image quality and not just scaled up to 4k would be incredible

  19. Include a File/Save Menu

    It seems strange to me not to have a File/Save drop down menu at the top like all other software has. I'm not sure why this wasn't included as standard. Makes me feel insecure about having my work saved!:)

  20. Add an HSL Color Adjustment Layer/Filter

    Add a layer or filter that allows for targeting of existing colors in a material, then provides the ability to adjust the hue, saturation, and/or lightness of the targeted color. Functionality like this already exists in both Adobe Lightroom's Develop module and in Adobe Camera Raw. Thanks!
