  3. Height

    I've noticed that sometimes the auto height feature gets the heights incorrect. Could you perhaps give a way to shape the height better?

    For example, for this material the small area circled was supposed to be a puddle and thus, the lowest point of the material. However, because I don't have the control to do so, no matter what edits I made, this area would always push up.

    The down pointing arrows are just to show rough depth/

  4. Display SBSAR presets as a dropdown list in Create Mode - as in Designer and Painter

    The only current way to access SBSAR presets is via searching the library in create mode. Could we have the presets display as a dropdown list a la Painter and Designer. I created a custom filter which relies on this preset workflow and searching and dragging is not as responsive.

  6. Allow materials to be directly used from Substance Painter shelf

    I have a highly organized Substance Painter shelf (Documents/Allegorithmic/Substance Painter/shelf directory) and I'd like to be able to directly use Materials from that collection inside Substance Alchemist.

    Currently, Alchemist uses a completely separate and isolated set of materials which makes it a bit of a pain to manually copy materials from Painter to Alchemist for use.

    Not looking to automatically export to Painter, but being able to have the Painter shelf inside Alchemist would be a huge time saver.

  7. Allow materials to easily be moved between folders

    Add a contextual menu that makes it easy to move a material from one folder to another.

  11. Visual feedback for exports when not on export tab

    When making an export queue and wanting to carry on working, it'd be nice to have a small visual feedback that and export has been successful instead of having to manually check back and forth.

  12. A two click integration into Arnold

    i run a youtube channel for MAYA (www.youtube.com/uhr24) and just prepared a substance alchemist intro tutorial which sort-of ends with my comment that the wonderful texture we just created in alchemist won't easily land in maya with arnold as the standard rendering engine.

    i've tried all kinds of modes of the substance node in the maya hypershader, i read the (rather poor) documentation and wait for a two click method like it is currently provided for stingray. stingray cannot be read by arnold...

  13. Adding optional blending mask directly from sbs or sbsar file

    Currently in Alchemist, you have height map, curvature map, ambient occlusion map, and custom image as blending mask. Right now I have some filters that contains mask for layering in Alchemist. However, I can only save them into AO channel and then I can use the mask in Alchemist. It would be nice that Alchemist detects optional mask inside sbs or sbsar files.

  14. change the Mesh menu location

    it's really inconvenient to go to the side menu every time I want to change the mesh from plan to sphere or cube I feel like it should be right next to the displacement and texture tiles button at the bottom right of the viewer

  15. Easier away to share Alchemist projects, cloud sync

    I have two computers that I use daily. I wish there's an easier way to share my Alchemist materials between computers so that I don't need to copy the folder in AppData to my usb drive everyday. A cloud sync maybe?

  16. Contextual menus

    Alchemist is missing contextual ("Right Click") menus in many places I would normally expect them. For example, I'm enable to right-click a substance inside of a collection and rename or delete it. I also can't right-click a substance to clone it if I want to make multiple copies (in other words, in UX terms the functionality for "Save As" or "Duplicate" isn't "discoverable").

  17. Numerical input for rotations

    When using bounding boxes can we have numerical input for rotations (e.g. for tiling) or some kind of reference as to the angle being rotated.
