when the launcher is running in the background, there is unnecessary CPU usage. For example, when working in 3D software and a substance launcher running in the background, it may have an impact on rendering time
Should now be resolved with 1.5.2 release ! Will have to investigate if it's not the case

Can confirm, watching my cpu spike at about 4% every few seconds. Substance launcher isn't open, but is visible and active in the Windows 10 task manager. Ending the Sunstance launcher task via task manager terminates the 4% cpu spike pattern.
